You can also obtain a ticket from Fountain News on Market Street in Galashiels (open 5am till 5pm Mon-Sat).
Season dates are 1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 for trout; 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2027 for grayling.
In recent seasons, there have been multiple reports of trout anglers refusing to give way to salmon anglers, particularly on the Boleside beat at Galashiels. For absolute clarity, it is unacceptable and in direct contravention of the rules to get in the water in front of or near salmon anglers or to compromise their fishing in any way. Anglers exhibiting this behaviour are in danger of having their season ticket removed or future day tickets refused. We are indebted to numerous estates up and down our waters for access to freshwater fishing and this behaviour risks owners taking drastic measures such as removing fishing rights from the club. If you come to a section where salmon anglers are fishing or about to fish, please have a conversation with them or the ghillie about where it may be appropriate for you to enter the river. Alternatively, you should strongly consider going to a different section – we have miles and miles of river to fish and there should be plenty of space for everyone.

Adult season ticket for trout and grayling – £30
OAP season ticket for trout and grayling – £15
Junior season ticket (16 and under) – £2
Day ticket – £10
